Abstracts must be prepared using the template available on the registration platform and must follow the guidelines listed below.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  • File Format::

    Abstracts must be submitted in PDF format using the template provided on the submission platform.

  • Language:

    All text must be written in English.

  • Number of Abstracts:

    Each author may submit up to three (3) abstracts.

  • Presentation Option:

    Indicate whether the work will be presented orally or as a poster. However, this choice does not guarantee the selected format; the final decision will be made after evaluation of all abstracts.

  • Title:

    The title must contain a maximum of 250 characters.

  • Authors:

    Up to 15 authors may be included. The format should be: Last name, initials (e.g., Santos, MS). Authors must be separated by semicolons. Indicate with an asterisk (*) the author responsible for presenting the work (oral or poster).

  • Institutional Affiliations:

    Affiliations must be numbered sequentially, indicating which affiliation corresponds to each author.

  • Abstract Length:

    The abstract must contain a maximum of3,000 characters, including spaces.

  • Keywords:

    Provide 3 to 5 keywords, separated by semicolons.

  • Funding Agencies:

    If applicable, indicate the agencies that funded the study.

  • Types of study:

    Original studies will be accepted, including case reports, as long as they are within the scope of the event and are of real relevance to the scientific community. Literature reviews, non-systematic bibliographic reviews, and experience reports will not be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria - Abstracts will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • 1. Abstract Title: Must be clear, concise, and reflect the content of the work.
  • 2. Objectives: Must be explicitly stated, relevant, and aligned with the event theme.
  • 3. Methodology/Development: The methodology must be clearly described and appropriate for answering the research questions or hypotheses.
  • 4. Results: Data must be clearly presented and related to the study objectives.
  • 5. Conclusions: Must be consistent with the results; implications and contributions of the study should be highlighted.
  • 6. Language and Writing: Writing must be clear and objective, with special attention to grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
  • 7. Originality: Degree of innovation and contribution to the field of knowledge.

Each reviewer will assign scores from 0 to 100 for each criterion. The final score will be calculated as the arithmetic mean of the scores. Abstracts scoring 70 or higher will be accepted. The highest-ranked abstracts in each thematic area will be selected for oral presentation, subject to availability of slots.

Evaluation Process - Two experts will evaluate each abstract. If there is a discrepancy greater than 20% between the scores, a third expert will evaluate the abstract. In this case, the final result will be the average of the two closest scores.

Dissertations and Theses

Only dissertations and theses defended in Brazil between August 21, 2024 and August 31, 2026, will be accepted to compete for the awards. Submissions must be made exclusively in PDF format. Theses and dissertations must be submitted together with a 5 minute video, produced by the author, briefly describing the work

Submission period for theses and dissertations: from May 8 to September 4, 2026.

Theses and dissertations will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Clear introduction of the topic
  • Adequate literature review
  • Justification of the study
  • Clear and objective wording of the research question(s) and hypothesis(es)
  • Detailed description of materials and methods and adequacy of the methodology used
  • Presentation of results
  • Analysis and discussion of the results obtained
  • Technical quality and clarity of figures and tables
  • Clear and objective writing; appropriate use of language
  • Conclusions, perspectives, and discussion of possible developments and/or applications of the research
  • Scientific articles published in indexed journals (yes = 10; no = 1)

Oral Presentation and Poster

For the awarding of the prize for best work presented in the oral and poster categories, the following criteria will be considered:

  • (a) relevance of the topic;
  • (b) clarity and achievement of objectives;
  • (c) adequacy and level of detail of the methods;
  • (d) consistency, innovation, and scope of the results;
  • (e) quality of the presentation;
  • (f) adherence to the time limit.
